Feb 20 - Tue

Ponding, Bugs & Birding Ramble

When: 7pm Tuesday 

What: Catch a Yabby, shrimp, water bugs or fish and learn about wildlife in a pond,  go bird watching or a relaxed walk at dusk.

BYO: Binoculars, plastic bucket or container, 
The club will provide some buckets, nets, a microscope string & meat bait 

Where: Retarding Basin, Liverpool Rd, The Basin. Mel. Map: 65 G5
Meet in carpark at 7pm (finish approx 8:30pm)

Beach Camp 

A weekend Seaside camp 
Activities will include Rockpool Rambles & Night Walks

Animal World Cup

Learn about the biggest/smallest, fastest/slowest animal 'champions' in many different categories. 'Hands -on' research and presentation activities for everyone who wants to participate.

Outback Animals & Aboriginal Art

 

Roger & Liz Berry recently spent 2 years teaching in an isolated community in far-north Western Australia. They will share some of their experiences and help you create some Aboriginal-style artwork.

Bush Craft Night

Come and create your own creatures from a variety of bush materials.

Please bring gumnuts, rocks, twigs, any bush materials you can collect that you think would be useful in creating bush creatures. Every-one will combine and share the materials they bring.

Craft glue will be supplied.

October 20/21 - Weekend

Stringybark Bush Festival

A huge environmental festival run by the Knox Council, many activities, displays and stores to be experienced. The WOC has a large display of live and preserved Australian animals with 'hands-on' opportunities. They will also be running craft activities for children.
