"Yo ho, Yo ho, A pirate's life for me" Lyrics

Yo ho, Yo ho,
A pirate's life for me!
We pillage and plunder and rifle and loot
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho;
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

Yo ho, Yo ho,
A pirate's life for me!
We extort and pilfer, we filch and we sack
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho;
Maraud and embezzle and even highjack
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

Yo ho, Yo ho,
A pirate's life for me!
We're rascals and scoundrels, we're villains and knaves
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!
We're devils and black sheep, we're really bad eggs
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

Yo ho, Yo ho,
A pirate's life for me!
We kindle and char, inflame and ignite
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!
We burn up the city, we're really a fright
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!
We're beggars and blighters and ne'er-do-well cads
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!
Aye, but we are loved by our mommies and dads
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

The Skull Speaks . . .

"Psst! Avast there! It be too late to alter course, mateys... and there be plundering pirates lurking in every cove, waitin' to board. Sit closer together, and keep your ruddy hands inboard. That be the best way to repel boarders. And mark well me words, mateys... dead men tell no tales!"

"Ye come seekin' adventure and salty ol' pirates, aye? Sure ye come to the proper place. But keep a weather eye open, mates, and hold on tight, with both hands if you please... there be squalls ahead, and Davey Jones waiting for them what don't obey..."

Movie and Attraction Comparison

The Disneyland version of 'Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ride' opened in 1967, it was being designed while Walt was still alive but he never saw it finished before he died. The Walt Disney World Version of the Ride was opened in 1973. The first Motion Picture of "PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:Curse of the Black Pearl" was released in 2003, the sequel "PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: Dead Man's Chest" opens in July 2006 and includes The Bayou. A third movie is also possibly to come.

The attraction and the 'Curse of the black Pearl' contain the following similarities:

  1. The theme song "yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me"

  2. The 3 pirates in jail whistling the dog with the keys

  3. Quotes such as:

    1. "Dead men tell no tales"

  4. A pile of cursed treasure

  5. Donkey, chickens and goat.

  6. Close ship battles with fort

  7. Man lying with a pig

  8. Drinking on a wonky barrel

  9. Burning city
  10. Lantis
  11. Water caves
  12. Skeletons
  13. Pirates chasing women around houses
  14. Drinking rum and going straight through a skeleton

There's more! This list is new, tell me about what you saw! Scott

How cool is this! . . . The world premiere of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl' was at Disneyland California in June 2003.

Main Street with red carpet, ready for the stars to arrive. The big screen installed on Tom Sawyer Island

Seating installed around the Rivers of America for the world premiere viewing. Gore Verbinski (director), Jack Davenport (cast), Orlando Bloom (cast), Keira Knightley (cast), Johnny Depp (cast) & Jerry Bruckheimer (producer).
And for premier 2 and 3 too!

The DVD releases of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' have many bonuses, such as ride footage and a documentary of the making of the Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland attraction.
