Secrets to
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
High Score Tips

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride is fun to muck around on but if you wanna get serious and beat your friends at it, here's all the hints, tips and secret you need to know about how to climb the high score rankings!

Tip 1: Target Shape Values

  • Round Target: 100 points
  • Square Target: 1000 points
  • Diamond Target: 5000 points
  • Triangle Target: 10,000 points

Learn the order of what shape is most valuable and always go for the higher value targets on the ride. Round targets are practically a wast of time, but there are many of them. Try your hardest to always be firing at Triangle and Diamond targets only. Unless you really can't see any other targets around.

Hint 2: Target Lights

You get more points hitting a target when it is lit up then when it is not so choose the ones that are lit up to get bonus points.

Secret 3: Keep Firing

You can hit the same target continuously so if you find a high scoring target, keep hitting it until you can no longer hit it. Note: you will see a light flash on your 'gun' telling you you are hitting the target.

Tip 4: Did I say stop?

To avoid disappointment for little kids, charity points are given even if you don't hit something, so NEVER take your figure off the trigger. Oh and if the ride stops for some reason - KEEP SHOOTING!

Hint 5: Again?

Ride, re-ride, re-re-ride . . . learn the locations of the high scoring targets. Maybe even take a trip and don't fire a shot, just study the layout. the GO FOR IT!

Secret 6: Big Scoring and Hidden Targets

A 'Jack-in-the-box' has a target on the box. If you hit this target the box opens to reveal 'alien' Jack. As the box is opening, shot a diamond target on the inside lid of the box. When Jack pops up there is a triangle target. Note: In this same room you can also find a circle with a diamond target else ware.

In the black 'speed tunnel' there are two hidden triangle targets. One on the right as soon as you enter the tunnel, the other on the left as you exit the tunnel. While in the tunnel there are also two dark diamond targets on the ceiling.

The final room, on the floor, is a 'discarded' toy just before you face Zurg and Buzz. Hit the circle target on this toy and a triangle target will pop up close to your car.

On Zurg. There is a line running down the center of his chest, just below his cape, with a very small dark circle worth 50,000 points!
